- Pornography is a multi-billion dollar industry which violate women’s rights to safety and equality,
and encourages and legitimates abuse of women and children, sexually and emotionally.
- Our aim is to
raise public awareness of the damage pornography does and the dimensions of the problem, while
encouraging and enabling women to voice their protest and organize against this dangerous trade.
- Sexism, sexual violence and pornography all censor women; they are about keeping women
powerless
and voiceless. Often overlooked is the fact that in many instances the actual making
of pornography involves or even requires violence and sexual assault.

- Pornography is central in creating and maintaining
sex as a basis for discrimination.
- Pornography is a systematic practice of exploitation and subordination
based on sex, which differentially harms women.
- The bigotry and contempt it produces with the acts of aggression it
justifies, harms women’s opportunities for equality and rights of all kinds.
